(11:40 a.m. EDT) — Virgin Voyages is heading to Scandinavia and the Baltic for the first time in 2028, launching six new Northern Europe itineraries aboard Valiant Lady from a new homeport in Amsterdam.
The sailings feature Norwegian fjords, maiden calls on every voyage, overnight stays and an Arctic Circle crossing. Bookings open August 14.
"One of the things that's most exciting about seeing more Sailors come back to us year after year is that it gives us the confidence to keep expanding into new parts of the world," said Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages.
"We've become the go-to brand for anyone traveling without kids. And now, Northern Europe felt like the right next step. We've built these voyages around the kinds of experiences that make people fall in love with a destination, from the fjords and Baltic capitals to sailing beneath the midnight sun."
The new program includes four Northern Europe voyages grouped under the "Four Voyages, One Endless Summer" collection, plus two one-way sailings connecting Barcelona and Amsterdam.
The first sailing departs Barcelona on July 9, 2028, with Valiant Lady scheduled to cross the Arctic Circle on August 14, 2028. The season concludes September 4, 2028, in Barcelona.
"We have so much love for our Mediterranean and Alaskan experiences we can't wait to show off how Virgin Voyages will celebrate this new part of the map we have unlocked," said Nathan Rosenberg, chief brand experience, marketing and momentum officer of Virgin Voyages.
"The fjords called for something calmer. The Baltic cities called for something later. The Arctic Circle called for something we'd never staged before and it will be epic. Crafted for our sailors but inspired by the new places we are headed."
The cruise line also announced the return of its Summer Season Pass, allowing guests to combine the four Northern Europe voyages into one continuous back-to-back sailing aboard Valiant Lady.
