Tianjin Oriental's Dream is heading back to Dalian and Qingdao for a staycation as the ship will not sail regular cruises from August 7 to early September, and instead offer overnight stays aboard.
This follows a trial the company ran alongside a beer festival in Qingdao in July.
Now the ship will be berthed in Dalian from August 7 to August 17 and then move to Qingdao until September 1.
Pricing per guest per night in Dalian ranges from 699 RMB ($100) for an oceanview stateroom to 999 RMB ($150) for a balcony suite.
The former Princess ship will offer a non-sailing immersive stay experience at Dalian Port for eleven days from August 7 to 17. Passengers can board using only their national ID card, no passport required. This marks the first time this business model has been introduced in Dalian.
The ship then heads to Qingdao and core elements from the July pilot project, including deck parties, live performances, shopping events, family entertainment, and opportunities to stay in premium staterooms, will be back.
The original "Cruise Beer Festival" ran from July 20 to 29, aboard the Dream. During the 10-day event, passengers could board using only a national ID card, with no passport required.
