Scenic Aura will sail on the Hooghly River, a distributary of the Ganges, from October next year.
The 44-passenger vessel, launched in 2016 to sail the Irrawaddy River in Myanmar, was rested during the pandemic.
She will have an interior revitalisation by Scenic Group's MKM Yachts team, with details to be released later this year.
Scenic Aura's inaugural season, which runs through to March 2028, will offer itineraries across India and Sri Lanka.
They feature Scenic Freechoice excursions and Scenic Enrich events to showcase the vibrant cities, sacred sites and riverside villages.
"The introduction of Scenic Aura on India's Hooghly River is a significant milestone for Scenic Group with the collection developed entirely around what our guests are asking for," Journey Designer Adam Burke said.
"These itineraries have been thoughtfully designed to provide unique and exclusive experiences that are culturally rich and showcase the best of India and Sri Lanka, all delivered with the depth of inclusions and personalised service Scenic is known for," Burke said.
The India programme is a fully integrated river cruise and land journey with five itineraries from 17 to 25 days across North India, South India, Rajasthan and Sri Lanka.
Anchored by a nine-night Lower Ganges River cruise along the Hooghly River, a storied waterways flowing through some of India's most historically significant regions, each journey offers a distinctive way to experience the subcontinent.
