Royal Caribbean Extends Labadee Suspension Through June 2027

Royal Caribbean cancelled all its planned visits to the private destination of Labadee through mid-2027, according to a report from Fox News Digital.

The decision extends the operational pause for the cruise port, which had previously been removed from the company's itineraries through late 2026.

Located on Haiti's Cap-Haïtien coast, the destination was dropped from itineraries in 2025 due to security and safety concerns.

"As we continue to evaluate conditions in Haiti and our ability to deliver the best vacations responsibly, we have decided to extend the suspension of ship calls to Labadee through June 2027," a spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

"This decision was made with the safety and well-being of our guests and crew members in mind," the company added, noting that passengers are being informed of the itinerary changes directly.

Royal Caribbean said it is still committed to its Labadee team members, noting that it is working to ensure "they feel informed and supported."

"We have identified positions across our fleets and destinations to place team members during this pause," the spokesperson explained.

The company also highlighted its relationship with the Labadee community, noting its relations with the destination "extend far beyond" operations.

"We remain proud of the long-standing investments we have made in the region," the spokesperson added to Fox News Digital.

"We continue to support local communities through ongoing humanitarian efforts, including monthly food donations," the company said.

Labadee has been serving as a private destination for Royal Caribbean's ships since the 1980s, having last received significant investments in 2009.

In addition to private beaches, the resort currently offers various features, including a flea market, a roller coaster and a zip-line.

According to passenger reports, cancelled visits to Labadee were replaced with new calls in destinations like Nassau, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.
