Adora Cruises has selected Olympic diving champion Guo Jingjing to serve as the godmother of the Adora Flora City, its upcoming ship.
The ship is scheduled for delivery on November 6, 2026.
It will embark on its maiden voyage from Guangzhou on November 22, when the christening ceremony will be held, the cruise line said in a statement.
"As a legendary figure in the world of sports, Ms. Guo Jingjing's perseverance, elegance, and spirit of constantly surpassing herself closely align with Adora Cruises' brand values of excellence, innovation, and vitality," stated Adora Cruises.
"We are honored to invite her to serve as the godmother for Adora Flora City, naming and blessing this cruise ship that embodies both 'Made-in-China ingenuity' and the dreams of the Greater Bay Area."
The 5,232-guest Adora Flora City embarked on its maiden set of sea trials in mid-May.
After the six-day cruise from Guangzhou to Hong Kong and Hue, Vietnam on November 22, the ship's inaugural season will comprise four- and five-night sailings to Hong Kong and Vietnam, an overnight Hong Kong sailing and an eight-night itinerary visiting Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei.
There will also be a 16-night voyage across six Southeast Asian countries.
