The Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) has confirmed the return of Caribbean Week to New York, launching on Monday, June 1, 2026, at the InterContinental New York Times Square. The event coincides with the start of Caribbean American Heritage Month and operates under the theme "One Caribbean: Infinite Experiences."
Governor Albert Bryan Jr. of the U.S. Virgin Islands and British Virgin Islands Premier Dr. Natalio Wheatley will head the delegation of Caribbean tourism ministers, commissioners and directors attending the event. Ian Gooding-Edghill, CTO Chairman and Barbados Minister of Tourism and International Transport, will also lead the delegation and deliver the opening keynote address.
Governor Albert Bryan Jr., the ninth elected governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, will deliver remarks at the opening ceremony on June 1. Throughout the week, ministers, commissioners, tourism directors and senior industry executives from across the region will participate in strategic meetings, workshops, networking activities and special events.
Premier Wheatley will take part in a highly anticipated session titled "Around the Caribbean in 60 Minutes" alongside the CTO Council of Ministers. The broader program encompasses strategic discussions on tourism leadership, marketing strategies, airlift development, inclusive tourism, sustainability and the next generation of Caribbean tourism innovation.
