(12:45 p.m. EDT) — AmaWaterways gave a first look at AmaNubia, its new river ship launching on the Nile River in November 2026. The cruise line also released new renderings of the reimagined AmaDahlia, returning to service in September 2026.
"Egypt is unlike anywhere else," said Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways. "The Nile is one of the most beautiful rivers on earth, and sailing down it feels like traveling through time, with one iconic site after another bringing a history we're all familiar with to life before our eyes. We're thrilled to see such strong renewed interest in Egypt, as travelers seek to experience its extraordinary history, vibrant culture and warm hospitality."
AmaNubia will accommodate 76 guests in 38 staterooms, including 15 suites. The vessel's interiors will draw inspiration from ancient Egypt, with design elements reflecting the region's artistry, textures and colors.
Onboard, guests will find destination-focused dining, highlighting Middle Eastern flavors, a wellness area with spa services, a fitness center and inviting public spaces for relaxation between shore experiences.
AmaNubia will operate the Secrets of Egypt & the Nile itinerary, combining a river cruise with hotel stays in Cairo. The itinerary includes visits to the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum, Luxor Temple, Karnak Temple, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Horus at Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan, as well as a private visit to the Abdeen Palace in Cairo.
Throughout each sailing, dedicated Egyptologists will offer lectures, expert insights and guided exploration.

The company's Nile fleet is expected to continue to grow, with AmaCleo set to join AmaNubia, AmaDahlia and AmaLilia in fall 2027.
