The Turkish operator Yilport continues to execute its modernization plan in Puerto Bolívar through new investments aimed at strengthening port and logistics infrastructure. The works are part of the development strategy for the Ecuadorian terminal, considered one of the main departure points for national exports and a key node within Pacific maritime routes.
Among the projects carried out are the construction of a new specialized cold storage warehouse for bananas and shrimp, the implementation of a modern terminal access system with facial recognition, automatic license plate and container reading, as well as technological improvements in yards, cranes, electrical systems, and operational controls. Additionally, bathymetry and maintenance dredging work was performed in docks, maneuvering areas, and the access channel, allowing for the maintenance of adequate conditions for the entry of deep-draft vessels and specialized containerized transport ships.
These investments contribute to optimizing the port's operational efficiency, strengthening the export logistics chain, and improving the competitiveness of Ecuadorian foreign trade. Likewise, the incorporation of refrigerated infrastructure, control technology, and improvements in navigability reinforce Puerto Bolívar's capacity to handle larger cargo volumes, consolidating its strategic role within the national port system and international maritime transport.
