Las Palmas Reduces Fuel Supply Due to Security Restrictions
The Port Authority of Las Palmas explained that the decrease in fuel supply during January, March, April, and May 2026 is due to security reasons and bad weather. According to president Beatriz Calzada, a single-axis barge cannot operate in the port because it does not meet the safety conditions required by the Maritime Captaincy, although it loads fuel in Las Palmas to supply it in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
