CMA CGM has transported specialized railway equipment to support the construction and maintenance of the future Medellín Metro, delivered via Puerto Antioquia, the French shipping company's new terminal in Colombia.
"Behind the operation: two 60-ton railway work trains, each sent from Livorno. Manufactured to shape and maintain railway tracks, they were managed through exclusive operations, with each stage carefully planned to overcome their dimensions, weight, and technical limitations," the company communicated.
"This operation reflects a broader reality in CMA CGM's Project Cargo division: even the most ambitious projects manage to get from port to city and beyond, supported by precise coordination, tailored infrastructure, and teams that know how to manage complexity," it added.
The equipment arrived from Europe at terminal 2 of the maritime station aboard the vessel CMA CGM Sambhar.
