The China-Europe express train has completed 130,000 journeys, with a freight train departing from Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province in central China, bound for Hamburg, Germany.
According to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the total value of the cargo has exceeded 520 billion dollars.
The company stated that, over the years, it has continuously optimized the operational routes of the China-Europe Express Railway, designating 93 scheduled lines with an anticipated speed of 120 km per hour.
Currently, 129 Chinese cities operate China-Europe Express Railway services, connecting 235 cities in 26 European countries and over 100 cities in 11 Asian nations, covering most of Eurasia.
Freight rates have fallen by more than 40 percent since the launch of the service. The trains now transport over 50,000 types of goods in 53 categories.
Key export products include high-value items such as automobiles and auto parts, machinery, electronics, and electrical equipment, while imports to China via this service include European timber, pulp, specialized agricultural products, and daily consumer goods.
