Hapag-Lloyd Resumes Operations of Vessels Held in the Persian Gulf
Hapag-Lloyd resumed operations of all its vessels held in the Persian Gulf after evaluating the security situation. Initially, six ships and 150 crew members were trapped by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz; one was released in April and another's charter contract expired. A little over two weeks ago, four vessels remained detained. Maersk reported that two of its ships safely navigated the strait.
