Maersk Launches New Maritime Service on Latin America's West Coast

The shipping company Maersk announced the implementation of a new maritime service on the west coast of Latin America, aimed at expanding its coverage network and improving connectivity between strategic markets on the American continent.

The new route will transform the Balboa–Posorja link into a service with three vessels that will connect Mexico, Panama, and Ecuador, incorporating direct connections from Lázaro Cárdenas and Manzanillo to Posorja to optimize transit times for cargo originating from Asia.

The service will strengthen logistical alternatives for regional foreign trade through an operation with calls at strategic ports such as Posorja, Balboa, Manzanillo, and Lázaro Cárdenas, contributing to greater integration of maritime supply chains.
