The multinational port and logistics company DP World announced the incorporation of Javier Hermosilla as the new Logistics – Freight Forwarding Director for its DP World Logistics business unit in Chile. The executive will report directly to Curtis Doiron, CEO of DP World in the country.
Hermosilla has a career spanning more than 25 years in the freight forwarding and international logistics industry, during which he has led businesses, operations, and teams in various international companies.
"His career in senior management positions stands out for driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, and organizational transformation, combining deep industry knowledge with a solid strategic and results-oriented vision," highlighted DP World.
"Javier's incorporation represents an an important step in our strategy for growth and consolidation of the Freight Forwarding business in Chile. His leadership and experience will be fundamental to strengthen our commercial and operational capabilities, enhance our value proposition for clients, and advance DP World Logistics' ambitious growth objectives," it added.
Finally, it should be mentioned that the firm expressed its gratitude to José Valenzuela for his interim work at the helm of the unit during the transition period.
