Asuka III Completes First Year of Service
The Asuka III celebrated its first full year of service for Asuka Cruise after being delivered on April 10, 2025. The 51,950-ton, LNG-powered vessel was built at Meyer Werft and became the first new cruise ship introduced by the Japanese company in over 25 years. The 744-passenger ship welcomed its inaugural cruise on July 20, 2025, and was christened on July 11, 2025, at the Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal with Tamiko Soga, wife of Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha president Takaya Soga, serving as godmother.
