Century Star Delivered to Century Cruises
Century Cruises and United Waterways confirmed the delivery of the Century Star river cruise vessel from Dutch shipbuilder Concordia Damen. The newbuild, designed for European waterways, accommodates 174 guests in 78 cabins and features hybrid propulsion with a hull constructed using recycled steel. The vessel marks Century Cruises' entry into Europe following decades of operations on the Yangtze River, with inaugural Danube sailings scheduled for September 2026 and additional Rhine deployments planned later in the year.
