Bookings opened for Viking's 2028–29 ocean voyages with more than 700 departures for 80 itineraries, and deployment spanning 301 ports in 84 countries on six continents.
Newbuilds Viking Vega (2028) and Viking Leda (2029) will be joining the fleet. Each measures 54,300gt with 499 staterooms for 998 passengers.
The deployment also expands Viking's global offerings with additional departures of the recently introduced "Japan Discovery" itinerary and two new routes, "Alaskan Fjords & the Inside Passage" and "Mediterranean, Malta & North Africa."
"From new itineraries to our two newest ocean ships, this deployment reflects our continued commitment to providing destination-focused voyages for curious travelers," Viking President/CEO Leah Talactac said.
Itineraries explore the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, South America and the Panama Canal. Cruises range from eight days to extended world voyages.
"Alaskan Fjords & the Inside Passage," 15 days between Vancouver, BC and Whittier, gives more time to journey through the Inside Passage and see fjords, kayak, hike and connect with Tlingit hosts who share their stories and deep connections to this land.
"Mediterranean, Malta & North Africa," 16 days roundtrip Civitavecchia (Rome) journeys to Valletta and North Africa and explores Andalusia, Provence and Corsica.
This 15-day "Japan Discovery" roundtrip from Tokyo (overnight) circumnavigates Japan and crosses to the southeast tip of the Korean Peninsula. Calls include Niigata, Hakata (Fukuoka), Sapporo and Shimizu (overnight).
From now through Aug. 31, Viking's Anniversary Sale offers North Americans reduced fares and up to free international airfare on select all-inclusive river, ocean and expedition itineraries and a reduced $25 deposit for all itineraries.
