Regent Seven Seas Cruises revealed details of the Solara Sports Deck and Solara Pool Deck aboard Seven Seas Prestige, which will debut in December as the line's first new ship class in a decade.
The Solara Sports Deck, designed in partnership with SMC Architects, will be located on deck 14 and represents Regent's first named sports deck. The facility will include a competition-sized padel and pickleball court, an 18-hole putting green, a yoga area and digital gaming systems featuring Conductr Supercharged Shuffleboard units.
"Seven Seas Prestige will raise the bar for the ultra-luxury travel experience and the Solara Sports Deck is a testament to how we are rethinking every inch of our new ship class," said Wesley D'Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
"Our guests value a seamless blend of active wellness and refined leisure. By partnering with world-class architects, we've created a sleek outdoor environment that is as beautiful as it is functional, allowing our guests to unwind or play against the backdrop of the world's most iconic horizons."
The sports deck will feature polished wood framing, architectural panelling, integrated planters and relaxation areas instead of standard sports netting. Custom LED perimeter lighting will illuminate activity boundaries during evening hours.
The Solara Sports Deck will operate 24 hours daily and will feature social tournaments and wellness classes from the vessel's inaugural voyage in December.
A sheltered social pavilion at the aft will house digital shuffleboard tables, mini-bowling, chess, baggo, and covered ping pong facilities, with built-in banquettes. The deck will also include an open-air wellness area for stretching and yoga classes.
The Solara Pool Deck on deck 12 will feature a two-tiered sunbed concept around a 48ft x 29ft pool with two whirlpool spas. The facility will include the Solara Pool Grill restaurant with pizzeria and Solara Pool Bar.
The upper pool deck on deck 14 will provide access to Pacific Rim restaurant and Azure, a new Mediterranean cuisine venue.
"When designing Seven Seas Prestige's Solara Sports Deck and Solara Pool Deck, our goal was to bridge the gap between outdoor fitness and boutique hotel elegance," explained Matt Fyvie, senior associate, SMC Design.
"We utilised premium materials such as high-performance composites and timber-effect resin flooring, complemented by soft luxury furnishings, to create a warm, intimate feel throughout the space. Discreet, refined lighting elements were carefully integrated into the architecture to ensure a seamless transition from day to night."
Fyvie said whether passengers are "participating in a tournament at sunset or making their way to the putting green after dark, every aspect of the experience feels intentional, cohesive and fully integrated with the character of the ship."
