MSC Wins Asia's Best Cruise Line Award at Jeju Forum

MSC Cruises has been recognized with the "Asia Best Cruise Line Award," marking the company's third award received at the Asia Cruise Forum Jeju.

The forum, one of the largest international cruise industry events in Asia, brings together cruise lines, port authorities, government agencies and tourism stakeholders to discuss the sustainable growth and future development of the Asian cruise market.

MSC said in a press release that this recognition reflects its overall contribution to driving the recovery and growth of the Asian cruise market, supported by its expanded operations in Japan, China and South Korea, as well as its year-round cruise offerings of the MSC Bellissima.

At the event, Oliviero Morelli, president of the cruise division of MSC Group for Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, also delivered a keynote address outlining his vision for the future of the Asian cruise market.

He emphasized the significant economic impact of cruise tourism, noting its role in supporting local economies through passenger spending and job creation at port destinations.

MSC stated that the MSC Bellissima is a key driver of growth in the Asian cruise market and has steadily built a strong track record in the region.

Through its operations, including cruises departing from Naha, Okinawa, the ship attracts many visitors to regional destinations, generating substantial economic impact through shore excursions and crew activities, MSC added.

Beyond transportation, the MSC Bellissima also strengthens port cities as international tourism hubs and fosters travel flows within Asia.
