Explora Journeys has begun accepting reservations for its Summer 2028 Journeys Collection, a milestone that marks the arrival of EXPLORA VI and the full deployment of the company's planned 6-ship fleet. The new vessel, scheduled to commence operations in August 2028, will enable all six units to operate simultaneously across global markets for the first time.
The collection features 178 destinations across 27 countries, with sailings distributed across four primary regions: the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska and the North American East Coast. The itineraries incorporate extended overnight stays at key ports including New York City, Reykjavik and Istanbul, alongside inaugural calls at destinations such as Korčula and the Faroe Islands. Several sailings include extended port departures designed to maximize time ashore.
EXPLORA I will operate in the Mediterranean from April through October 2028, serving the Aegean and Adriatic regions. The itinerary covers the Cyclades, the Dodecanese and the Turkish coastline, with a late departure from Mykonos and an overnight call in Istanbul.
EXPLORA II is assigned to the Western Mediterranean, North Africa and the French and Italian Rivieras between April and October. The vessel will call at 36 destinations across Iberia and the Atlantic approaches, including Madeira, with overnight stays in Lisbon and late departures from Ibiza, Capri and Casablanca.
EXPLORA III returns to Alaska from May through September, operating voyages across the United States and Canada. The programme includes transits through the Inside Passage and the Gulf of Alaska toward Hubbard Glacier, with calls at Juneau, Skagway, Wrangell and Klawock.
EXPLORA IV is deployed to Northern Europe and the Baltic Sea between May and October, serving 51 destinations across 15 countries. The itinerary features overnight stays in Amsterdam and Stockholm, plus inaugural calls at Runavík in the Faroe Islands and Djúpivogur in Iceland.
EXPLORA V sails the Baltic Sea, Norwegian fjords and North Atlantic from May through September, then repositions to the North American Eastern Seaboard in autumn. The vessel incorporates overnight calls in New York City and Quebec City, along with extended departures from Halifax and Boston.
EXPLORA VI makes its debut between August and November 2028, operating 13 voyages focused on Mediterranean and Adriatic itineraries. The inaugural sailing departs from Rome to Barcelona, followed by routes incorporating Sicily, Sardinia and the French Riviera. During October and November, the vessel operates in the Adriatic, calling at Trogir, Dubrovnik and the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.
Explora Journeys characterized the opening of sales as a pivotal moment for the brand, noting that the completion of the fleet enables expanded geographical reach and greater itinerary diversity across multiple cruise regions. The company continues to offer its Early Booking Benefit programme for advance reservations, providing preferred fares and priority suite selection access aboard EXPLORA VI.
