President Daniel Noboa commenced the construction of Phase 1A of Guayaquil's Fifth Bridge, a strategic project that will connect the southwest of the city with the port areas. The project aims to improve heavy transport mobility and strengthen the logistics infrastructure of Ecuador's main commercial hub.
The first stage involves the construction of a 1.2-kilometer, four-lane viaduct in the southern sector of Guayaquil. The work will optimize cargo transfer times to port terminals, reducing travel distances and generating greater efficiency for foreign trade operations.
The Fifth Bridge represents a key infrastructure for Ecuador's logistical competitiveness and the integration of its supply chains. Its development will strengthen connectivity between production centers, land routes, and seaports, consolidating Guayaquil as a regional trade hub.
