Cargo Vessel Transiting Strait of Hormuz Hit by Cruise Missile; Crew Injured
The UK Maritime Trade Operations centre reported on 5 May that a cargo vessel was struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz. US officials later identified the vessel as the CMA CGM San Antonio, a Malta-flagged container ship, which was hit by a land-attack cruise missile. Several Filipino crew members were injured in the attack. As of midday on 5 May, the vessel was reported near Dubai.
