Italy: Contship introduces first electric port tractor at La Spezia Container Terminal
Contship introduces the first all-electric port tractor at the La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT), operated by Hannibal as a pilot project to decarbonize port operations. The investment was co-financed by the European Union's PNRR Green Ports program through Next Generation EU, managed by the Port System Authority of the Eastern Ligurian Sea, with the aim of reducing direct emissions and improving air quality in port areas.
