APN approves dredging plan for Salaverry Port Terminal

The National Port Authority (APN) of Peru approved the maintenance dredging plan for the Salaverry Port Terminal. In addition, the National Service for Environmental Certification for Sustainable Investments (Senace) granted conformity to the Supporting Technical Report (ITS), an essential requirement for the execution of the service.

The facility, operated by Salaverry Terminal Internacional (STI), will strengthen its operability with an investment of USD 4.5 million to optimize deepening work, contributing to improved navigation conditions and the efficiency of its operations.

According to the APN, the work will allow the recovery of the levels of the access channel and the maneuvering areas of the maritime facility, strengthening navigation safety, service continuity, and the competitiveness of the Port of Salaverry.

"With these actions, the APN reaffirms its commitment to strengthening an efficient, competitive, and environmentally responsible National Port System that contributes to the development of La Libertad and the country," the entity stated.
