Law Promulgated Declaring the Construction of a Post-Panamax Dry Dock in Callao of National Interest

The Executive Branch promulgated Law N.° 32589, declaring the construction of a post-Panamax dry dock in the port of Callao to be of national interest. The infrastructure, with estimated investments close to US$ 450 million, will be executed at the Callao Naval Base, according to SIMA. The project aims to strengthen the naval industry and Peru's position as a regional logistics hub, serving vessels that currently generate annual losses of US$ 180 million.
