MTC promotes joint agenda with regional governments for safe aquatic transport
The Ministry of Transport and Communications held the First National Aquatic Transport Meeting with representatives from 18 regional governments and National Government entities. Vice Minister Juan del Carmen Haro Muñoz highlighted the importance of consolidating coordinated work to strengthen governance, improve service safety, and implement the current regulatory framework. As a result, the MTC will promote a joint work agenda aimed at strengthening technical assistance, identifying regulatory and institutional gaps, and promoting agreements to improve the safety, quality, and formalization of aquatic transport nationwide.
