APN and TPE Present Master Plan for Paita Port Terminal

With the aim of charting a course towards a more efficient and competitive port, the National Port Authority (APN), an entity attached to the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), held a key technical meeting with representatives of Terminales Portuarios Euroandinos (TPE), the operating company of the Paita Port Terminal.

During the meeting, TPE executives formally presented the proposal for the new Master Plan for the northern terminal, a fundamental step for the region's logistical and commercial development.

This technical document is not a simple formality; it is the main planning instrument that will define the future of the Paita terminal. Its implementation will allow for:

• Identifying real needs: Precisely determining what infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment, and port services are required.
• Adapting to demand: Responding quickly and efficiently to the evolution of foreign trade and the increase in cargo flow.
• Boosting competitiveness: Strengthening the position of the Port of Paita as a key logistics hub in the north of the country, reducing costs and waiting times.

This technical meeting is part of the articulated work that the APN actively promotes together with concessionaire companies.

The state agency indicated that these dialogue tables consolidate an indispensable strategic alliance for the growth of the sector. The ultimate goal of these joint efforts is clear: to guarantee the continuous modernization and comprehensive strengthening of the National Port System.
