Mejillones Port Complex (CPM) highlighted the role that the Mejillones Logistics Platform (PLM) will play in improving and strengthening supply chains in northern Chile.
According to the company, the PLM has been conceived as a natural extension of the Mejillones port ecosystem, integrating connectivity, services, and operational proximity with the bay's terminals. Its location – considered strategic – will strengthen the integration between port, industry, and transport, providing new capabilities for companies operating in the region.
"The Mejillones Logistics Platform represents a significant step in our long-term vision for the bay. We want to provide companies with a modern solution, connected to the port system and prepared to respond to the needs of a constantly growing industry. Through initiatives like this, we continue to contribute to connecting mining and industry with the world," said Juan Alberto Ruiz, General Manager of Mejillones Port Complex.
The initiative includes a logistics park with warehouses, service areas for transport and cargo, and spaces dedicated to the development of specialized activities, expanding the available offering for companies linked to foreign trade, mining, energy, and other productive sectors.
"Mejillones has unique conditions to consolidate itself as one of the main logistics-port hubs in northern Chile, thanks to the concentration of specialized terminals, its connectivity, and the opportunities that the Capricorn bioceanic corridor will open," added Ruiz.
The company's vision for the development of Mejillones Bay and the need to provide enabling infrastructure for the port and logistics system of the Antofagasta Region to boost its future growth will be the main focus of its participation in Exponor 2026.
During the exhibition, CPM will disseminate the main characteristics of the Mejillones Logistics Platform (PLM), an integrated space for logistics, industrial, and port support services in Mejillones Bay, on a plot of over 47 hectares.
