The Port Authority of the Bay of Cadiz will invest approximately 240,000 euros (USD 274,632) in adapting a plot of land located at the General Fernández Ladreda dock for the creation of a new parking area with capacity for 21 trucks and other vehicles.
The project will be developed on the space previously occupied by industrial warehouse number 6, currently undergoing demolition, and will allow for the enhancement of an area of approximately 2,756 square meters to improve the functionality and services of the port facility.
The project includes the comprehensive conditioning of the plot through the spreading and compaction of artificial gravel for the construction of the pavement, as well as the provision of the necessary infrastructure for its new use.
Once the work is completed, the new space will have 21 parking spaces for heavy vehicles, with dimensions adapted to this type of transport, 3.5 meters wide by 16 meters long, and 27 spaces for cars, 2.5 meters wide by 5 meters long. The execution of the works will have a period of two and a half months, with its start scheduled for mid-September.
