Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras Promotes Circular Economy by Utilizing Demolition Materials from the Shed
The Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras (APBA) recovered 272 components from electrical installations, fire-fighting systems, and lighting from the Juan Carlos I Dock Shed through selective dismantling. The initiative plans to reuse these elements in future port infrastructures and valorize over 6,000 tons of stony materials and concrete, reducing raw material consumption and carbon footprint.
