Porto Sudeste will have a representative on the Pianc Brazil Young Professionals Board of Directors for the 2026-2027 term. Robson Maia, Port and Maritime Operations Manager, was appointed to represent the Southeast region along with Iara Cecutte Parmagnani, from Espírito Santo, and Felipe Ruggeri, from São Paulo.
This nomination highlights the terminal's participation in one of the main technical forums focused on the development of river infrastructure.
The Pianc Brazil Young Professionals program brings together professionals from the sector up to 40 years old to promote technical knowledge, networking, and debate on the sustainable development of waterway transport infrastructure in the country.
"Joining Pianc Brazil Young Professionals is an opportunity to contribute to technical discussions focused on the development of waterway infrastructure, the strengthening of the port sector, and the integration among professionals, academics, and institutions. It is also an important space for sharing knowledge, continuous learning, and collaborating to achieve safer, more efficient, sustainable, and environmentally responsible port activity," stated Maia.
Pianc (World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure) promotes collaboration between the public sector, private initiative, academia, and experts. Its studies serve as a guide for policies, projects, tenders, concessions, environmental licenses, and investment criteria in the port and river sector. In Brazil, this activity is related to the participation of the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq) as the official representative of the country in Pianc.
Among the topics covered are waterway infrastructure planning, reduction of environmental impacts, adaptation to climate change, responsible dredging management, protection of coastal ecosystems, and the search for solutions that reconcile logistical efficiency, operational safety, and sustainability.
