AHTS Vessel Runs Aground While Approaching Anchorage Area in Macaé Port
The AHTS vessel Skandi Amazonas, registered under the Brazilian flag, ran aground while approaching the anchorage area in the Port of Macaé. Of the 29 occupants on board, 12 were rescued by nearby vessels while 17 remained on the ship. The Brazilian Navy confirmed there were no casualties or water pollution. The vessel was chartered by Petrobras at the time of the incident.
