Closure of Rail Combined Product (RCO) for Active Reefers to/from Hungary
Maersk announced the closure of its Rail Combined product (RCO) for active reefers effective 15th April 2026, affecting reefer containers moving to and from Hungary via German ports. The measure is due to operational constraints at ports and a critical shortage of gensets required for rail operations. Direct trucking will remain the only available inland transportation mode for active reefers, while the Rail Combined product for non-operating reefers continues without change.
