New Chimbote Port Terminal to be Declared of Interest in May 2026

ProInversión announced that it will present the declaration of interest for the Chimbote International Port Terminal this month, ahead of schedule. The project involves an investment of approximately 300 million dollars and includes the modernization of the current pier, the construction of a specialized container pier, and new gantry cranes. The infrastructure will allow the terminal to increase its annual cargo movement from 60,000 tons to 550,000 tons and generate containerized cargo up to 450,000 TEUs, multiplying its operational capacity.
