EU Launches Platform to Accelerate Connectivity in Middle Corridor
The European Union launched a Connectivity Agenda Platform in Brussels to accelerate infrastructure projects along the Middle Corridor or Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR). Commissioner Marta Kos stated that analyses project a potential fivefold increase by 2040, reducing transport times between Asia and Europe from 45 days to approximately 15 days. The EU will mobilize over 80 million euros in funding to support projects valued at more than 2 billion euros.
