The Port Authority of Santander presented its waterfront transformation model through a cultural axis at the General Assembly of the Atlantic Arc Commission of the CPMR (June 8 and 9, 2026, in Quebec). María Cuesta explained how the port has recovered heritage over four decades, transforming buildings into cultural facilities. Santander became the first port to join Green Marine Europe and presented its Decarbonization Plan with OPS, photovoltaic, and LNG technology, projecting a 55% reduction in emissions by 2030 and total neutrality by 2050.
