The ports of Barcelona and Shanghai strengthen their alliance with the signing of a strategic agreement

The Port of Barcelona and Shanghai formalized a strategic cooperation agreement that officially establishes the "sister port" relationship between both infrastructures. The agreement, signed by José Alberto Carbonell, president of the Port of Barcelona; Xiao Hui, general director of the SMTC, and Yang ZhiYong, vice president of SIPG, aims to strengthen cooperation in digitalization, green ports, alternative fuels, and the promotion of sustainable maritime corridors between the Far East and the Mediterranean.
