Palestinian suspect charged as Crown Iris ship was named in alleged terror scheme

Greek authorities arrested and charged a 37-year-old Palestinian asylum seeker on Crete in connection with an alleged plot targeting Israeli interests. The Israeli cruise ship Crown Iris was reportedly among potential targets under consideration. The suspect, detained on Saturday, June 6th, was formally charged with receiving training for terrorist purposes and membership in Hamas. Investigations remain ongoing.
