Panama Opens Prequalification for Two New Port Terminals

The Panama Canal is continuing the prequalification process for companies to develop two container port terminals in Corozal (Pacific) and Telfers (Atlantic), with a scheduled closing date of July 9, 2026. Minister José Ramón Icaza highlighted that the initiative aims to strengthen logistics infrastructure. Concurrently, technical and environmental studies for the Indio River reservoir are progressing to ensure the waterway's water security.
