Santander, August 14, 2026. The APS has launched a public call for applications through a competitive examination for eight new positions, subject to the III Collective Bargaining Agreement for State Ports and Port Authorities.
The positions currently required are:
The president of the APS, César Díaz, points out that public employment is a “fundamental” tool to guarantee the quality and efficiency of the services provided by the Port Authority. The incorporation of new professionals, he adds, allows us to “strengthen and renew the workforce, adding new profiles and ensuring the knowledge and capabilities the port needs to face the challenges of port activity in the coming years.”
He also emphasizes “the importance that, from the Port Authorities, we give to human resources, which is reflected in our Strategic Framework, which has the expansion and continuous improvement of human capital as one of its strategic lines”.
Interested individuals can consult the terms of the calls in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC) on August 11, 12, and 13 or through the websites www.puertosantander.es and www.administracion.gob.es
The deadline for submitting applications will be twenty working days, counted from the day following the date of publication of the terms in the Official Gazette of Cantabria (BOC). August 11 for the Port Police positions, August 12 for the Head of Information and Communications Systems and Infrastructure Technician positions, and August 13 for the Head of Maintenance and Navigation Aid Systems position.
These calls are made under Royal Decrees 656/2024, of July 2, and 651/2025, of July 15, which approve the public employment offers for the years 2024 and 2025 in the General State Administration.
