Great Lakes receives first Jones Act-compliant subsea rock installation vessel
Great Lakes Dredge & Dock took delivery of Acadia, the first U.S.-flagged, Jones Act-compliant subsea rock installation vessel built by Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia. The vessel will support Equinor's Empire Wind 1 project offshore New York and Ørsted's Sunrise Wind project, with capacity to carry up to 20,000 metric tons of rock. Great Lakes has also secured two new international offshore energy contracts keeping Acadia working in Europe for most of 2027.
