Transcend Cruises' partnership with the Netherlands-based cosmetics and well-being brand, Rituals, will bring Mind Oasis experiences aboard new European river vessel Connect, debuting in August.
Connect is purpose-built for groups.
Mind Oasis brain massage and hydro massage experiences will be part of Connect's 2,600-square-foot, multi-level indoor/outdoor fitness, spa and wellness facility.
The facility is designed to support the needs of multi-day meetings, incentive trips, retreats and affinity programs. It will offer spa treatment rooms, a fitness center complete with the latest strength training and cardio equipment, an outdoor yoga deck, a barefoot walking path, sauna and relaxation areas.
Mind Oasis experiences are designed as one well-being "journey," where the hydro massage relaxes and rejuvenates the body and the brain massage recharges the mind.
The hydro massage treatment, where spa-goers float fully clothed on a warm waterbed while powerful, yet gentle hydro-jets move rhythmically beneath their body, helps relieve muscular tension and creates a sensation of weightlessness. It is with red light therapy to rejuvenate the skin and nature soundscapes and aromatherapy.
The brain massage combines sound, breath guidance, light, scent and synchronized haptic vibrations to calm the nervous system. Thirty minutes of the brain massage is touted as like two hours of deep sleep.
"Today, well-being and life balance is such an integral part of our lives, which is why Transcend is placing an emphasis on our expansive wellness facility," Transcend Cruises Chief Operating Officer Kimberly Daley said. "Be it a corporate meeting or retreat, whereby planners want to make sure attendees can be at their peak performance or an incentive trip or private function such as a wedding, guests opting to experience the 'Mind Oasis' will be able to lessen the impacts of jetlag, sleep better and fully relax onboard."
