The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through its executing unit Provías Nacional (PVN), continues to carry out actions aimed at guaranteeing the removal of interferences and the progressive restart of activities corresponding to the recovery and improvement work on Néstor Gambetta Avenue, in the section between km 03+790 and km 04+350, in the Constitutional Province of Callao.
As part of the actions developed, the structures of an existing wall that affected the right-of-way and limited the progress of the work were removed. These tasks were carried out in an articulated manner with the Public Prosecutor's Office, the Peruvian National Police, and the competent authorities, with the aim of ensuring the necessary conditions for the continuity of the work.
Likewise, Provías Nacional is coordinating with Sedapal for the removal of clandestine sewage connections identified within the intervention area, as well as with the company Pluz Energy for the temporary relocation of electrical lighting poles that interfere with the execution of the project.
Additionally, the MTC reported that multisectoral working groups have been formed and preventive and technical actions are being implemented to guarantee the continuity of the work under adequate safety and operational conditions.
The intervention on Néstor Gambetta Avenue will benefit more than two million citizens and will significantly improve traffic flow and road safety in one of the country's main logistics corridors, which connects directly with Jorge Chávez International Airport and the port of Callao.
The MTC, through Provías Nacional, reaffirms its commitment to continue coordinating efforts with the entities involved to overcome existing interferences and ensure the progress and completion of this important road project for the benefit of the population and the country's logistical development.
