The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) presented the new Port Component 2.0 of the Single Window for Foreign Trade (Vuce), a platform that will optimize the digital management of processes related to the arrival and departure of vessels in maritime, river, and lake ports, strengthening institutional interoperability and contributing to greater logistical efficiency.
The implementation of Port Component 2.0 is part of the efforts promoted by the sector to continue strengthening trade facilitation and is aligned with the Multilateral Foreign Trade Policy until 2040, particularly with Priority Objective 2, aimed at optimizing foreign trade operations through facilitation measures.
During the event "Vuce 2.0: Digital transformation for safer and more competitive foreign trade," the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade, César Llona Silva, highlighted that Port Component 2.0 will enable more agile, integrated, and digital port management, reaffirming the State's commitment to the modernization of foreign trade and the strengthening of the country's competitiveness.
"Today we are taking a new step in the process of evolution and modernization of our Single Window, incorporating solutions aimed at responding to the current needs of our logistics and port ecosystem. The implementation of Port Component 2.0 will optimize processes, reduce service times, and provide greater predictability," mentioned the deputy minister.
He added that Mincetur "continues to bet on strategic and long-term planning for foreign trade, which has allowed us to go from just 6.9 billion dollars in 2000 to more than 90 billion dollars in 2025, and we expect to exceed 100 billion dollars this year."
Likewise, during the day, the scope and functionalities of the Foreign Trade Logistics Observatory (OLCE) were presented, a publicly accessible digital platform that provides strategic information and indicators to strengthen decision-making and contribute to the competitiveness of Peruvian foreign trade.
It is important to mention that at this event, VUCE was also recognized for maintaining the validity of its ISO 9001:2015 certification and obtaining ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification, integrated into its Quality Management System, strengthening the quality, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of its digital processes and services.
At the event, the commitment of various institutions to quality and the adoption of international standards was also recognized, such as the Peruvian Nuclear Energy Institute (IPEN), the National Authority for Health and Safety in Fisheries and Aquaculture (SANIPES), the Paita Special Development Zone, and the Ilo Special Development Zone, which received ISO 9001:2015 certification in quality management.
