The Panama Canal was recognized in the third edition of Merco Talento Panama 2026, securing the fourth position in the general ranking of companies with the highest capacity to attract and retain talent in the country. Furthermore, the organization achieved fourth place in the category of best Human Resources teams, reaffirming its commitment to excellence in human capital management.
This recognition reflects the dedication of the Canal's employees and the constant effort to consolidate an organizational culture based on innovation, sustainability, and a sense of belonging. Additionally, the Canal was highlighted as the leading company in the logistics sector, confirming its strategic role in the country's development and global trade.

It motivates us to continue strengthening our human capital management policies and to keep building a work environment that inspires trust, development, and a sense of belonging," said Rubén Pérez, Vice President of Human Capital.
In the general ranking of Merco Talento Panama 2026, the top five positions were occupied by Banco General (1st), Banco Nacional de Panamá (2nd), Cervecería Nacional (3rd), Panama Canal Authority (4th), and Caja de Ahorros (5th). Meanwhile, in the category of best Human Resources teams, the leadership corresponded to Banco General (1st), Cervecería Nacional (2nd), Terpel/Va & Ven (3rd), Panama Canal Authority (4th), and Banistmo (5th).
Merco Talento Panama 2026 was developed from over 13,600 surveys and 11 sources of information, with independent review by KPMG, consolidating itself as one of the most comprehensive monitors of reputation and talent management in Ibero-America.
