Puerto Quequén is currently handling one of the largest agricultural cargo shipments recorded in its history. This milestone was marked by the bulker Seralia, which docked at berth 3 of the port facility (ACA Terminal) to load 68,000 tons of Argentine soybeans destined for China. Its arrival was assisted by the tugboats Diamond Cay and Rua Don José.
The vessel sails under the flag of Panama and measures 229 meters in length, while its beam reaches 32 meters. The commercial operation is managed by the firm Syngenta, with agency services provided by Brisamar S.A., and stevedoring is the responsibility of the company Pleamar.
From the Puerto Quequén Management Consortium, it was stated that "its imposing presence - of the vessel - at the local dock is a direct reflection of the competitiveness, draft, and predictability policies promoted by the Puerto Quequén Management Consortium, led by its president, Mariano Carrillo."
"With this volume, the operation is directly positioned among the four largest agricultural shipments ever recorded in the history of Puerto Quequén, an achievement that validates the port's strategic role as one of the country's main agro-export gateways," highlighted the port authority.
"The importance of ensuring efficiency in dredging and logistical modernization has been emphasized so that vessels of this size can operate at maximum cargo capacity, minimizing logistical costs and enhancing the value of production from the entire port hinterland," they noted at the port.
"With Seralia operating at full capacity at its docks, Puerto Quequén confirms that when the countryside produces, the port exports with the highest international standards, consolidating the virtuous cycle of regional and national economic development," emphasized the Consortium.
