AIDAsol: 15 Years of Service for AIDA Cruises
The AIDAsol marked its 15th anniversary of service with AIDA Cruises on March 31, 2011. The 71,000-ton Sphinx-class vessel, built at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, features 2,174 passenger capacity and pioneered shore power connection technology in AIDA's fleet. In 2026, the ship operates five- to 12-night cruises from Hamburg and a 126-night world cruise visiting 43 ports across four continents, with a major refurbishment scheduled for late 2027.
