Pakistani Navy Assists Distressed Offshore Vessel in Arabian Sea
The Pakistani Navy assisted the Comros-flagged offshore vessel Gautum after it experienced critical technical failure and was adrift in the Arabian Sea on 5 May. All seven crew members, including 6 Indian and one Indonesian, were reported safe. The 50-year-old vessel's main generator suffered irreparable damage while sailing from Oman to India, prompting the Indian Coast Guard to request a tugboat for towing.
