Thirteen Dead, Dozens Injured, After Blast During Restart at GiantQatarLNG Site
Thirteen people were killed and 66 injured after an explosion at Qatar's Ras Laffan LNG complex on Sunday evening during operations restart. Qatar's Energy Ministry Saad al-Kaabi confirmed the blast was a technical accident at the Barzan gas supply facility, with all fatalities from India and Pakistan. The incident highlights challenges Gulf producers face restarting facilities shut during the Iran war, which previously trapped 20% of global LNG supply.
