Port of San Diego Recognizes Participants of VSR Program
The Port of San Diego recognized 24 ship companies, including cruise lines, for participating in its voluntary Vessel Speed Reduction (VSR) Program. In 2025, the program achieved 94 percent compliance within 20 nautical miles of the bay and 81 percent within 40 nautical miles, helping reduce approximately 6,500 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality in San Diego Bay.
